Did Unlimited Blade Works Have A Bigger Budget Than Was Normal For Anime?

All-time Animation of All Time at This Signal in Fourth dimension. Amazingly Washed!!

~*This show starts at episode 00 NOT 01, currently 00-25 & the OVA ep SunnyDay(scout concluding)*~ Wow...simply wow.. I heard while this was ambulation back in 2014 that the animation was "the greatest affair thats currently made" & how "amazing & awesome" this was, but I still put this off for two years somehow just thinking in the back of my listen that it has to merely exist over hype because of its retarded massive fan base. Holy Jesus was I wrong. Right off the bat the start thing I was thinking was "WOW this animation pretty amazing", but I expected it to be equal to Fate/Zero or actually any Aniplex championship(they're all done very well) but that was simply in the showtime(first 5minutes/less?). Later it got to the get-go fight scene I literally bugged out, easily down the best blitheness of Any anime to engagement, the budget for this series HAD to pause records for an anime i'thou 100% certain. So lets showtime off, the story is just WOW manner ameliorate than I expected (fyi I was completely ignorant to whatsoever of the story except its prequel Fate/Nil). It surprised me quite a few times and held my attending 100% of the time. Every single episode from 0 & onward didn't skip a beat. Y'all finished ane and NEEDED to see the next. The music is simply and then great, the ops & eds are but astonishing, match perfect. The music in the show matches flawlessly, and then much endeavour & time was put into every single inch of this show. Fifty-fifty things that are so pocket-size you don't even notice every detail has had the time taken out to make it perfection. The English dub is perfect, every voice fits amazing & you lot can feel the passion in as of it. The character designs & artwork are breath taking, no meliorate way to put it. 100% of every item has been taken for everything. & as I already stated the animation is something that has fix a new bar of achievement for the anime world. At present I practice have to say at that place's aspects of Fate/Cipher I really enjoyed that were lacking from this similar the older group of characters & no hesitation dark actions. Just thats non really a complaint as this is the sequel & theirs nothing that can really be done about that, I simply thought I should point it out. Definitely watch Fate/Naught before this, even if your not the biggest Fate/Zero fan i'm 100% sure you'll dear this. Even though it lacks a bit of what Zero has it brings to the tabular array a lot that Nothing didn't have. & If you lot are a big fan of Cipher, you lot'll exist in sky.

5/5 Why? Perfection. This is what every anime should stride to be. This show gear up a new bar in the anime world. The animation is THE Best you will currently find, every single episode is theatrical level quality with no one-half measures the entire show. The story is amazing, nothing to add. The pacing is perfection. The character design & artwork are breath taking, every little item has been added to everything. You tin can feel the passion the creators put into this. The music is astonishing, everything matches perfectly. The English dub is amazing. I'one thousand not even that big of a Fate fan and I have to say this is easily down one of the greatest well washed anime I've always seen. You WILL like this, I don't care who yous are. Quality is quality.

Nice plot and setting with twists. I love twists and here we have one.

This is the best anime I have always seen, not hyping. If you are here for the plot and especially the dialogue writing this is your bear witness. I merely watched season 2 episode 6 ans I cried, I never cry merely this episode was so awesome, the depth is too much. I am a story, plot kind of guy and generally fast forward the action scenes just I never once fast forwarded it because it is that good. Highly recommended I would say. I am not giving much almost the plot because only watch it y'all are here for fan service and so avert this show. Watch fate zero before watching this, lookout fate stay night and afterward sentinel this, there is a unlimited bract works movie avoid it, don't spotter it because it is based on this show with lots of shortcuts.

Good graphics & animation, with a decent story & minor flaws.

Oddly enough, this is essentially a remake of "...Stay Night" with various outcome changes; non certain why they did that, just, here we are.

In one case again, as I have criticized before, the trouble with stories that have magic in them is the amount of magic the authors use. The temptation is to apply magic everywhere to solve every problem and develop every plot, no affair how ridiculous and impossible the magic is. When the creators go besides far, they lose you, shatter your willing suspension of disbelief, and wreck the story and drama. In this, "...Unlimited Bladeworks," they have done that occasionally, specially with the grapheme Caster, the witch, who uses magic liberally. Sometimes, it's just as well much, and you accept to ask yourself why doesn't she just destroy everybody, since she could certainly employ enough magic to do then - simply then there would be no drama and no story, so the writers take to stop, and put limits on her. But that becomes credible, and takes a little away from the believability of the story. A bright writer-philosopher I once knew said "life is virtually the struggle." Catamenia. In every storyline that has always been, the struggle of the characters, of one kind or another, is the fundamental element. You have away the struggle of the characters, because y'all have magic doing everything, and you lot lose your story.

That little trouble aside, at that place is a decent storyline here, with a little romance that everyone tin can come across coming from the first episode, just there are plenty youthful problems in developing information technology to brand this story arc interesting. The graphics and artwork are excellent and pleasant to lookout man, the music satisfying, the battle scenes well-done and gripping, while the animation itself, that is, the technical moving of the characters, is good for this type of anime, better than many, while naturally nowhere near the Disney-Pixar level, which is 3D and another expensive thing birthday.

Although this is not truly calorie-free amusement, information technology is not heavy and serious either, but something you lot tin watch & bask without using major encephalon work. It's a fun ride and most people will find information technology gratifying.

The story is unique and the animation is a treat to the eyes.

Story-line => three/5 (I liked the uniqueness of the plot just they got some major loose ends.); Interim => 5/5 (The vox acting was good. Portrayed the characters nicely.); Directing => five/five (The directing was crawly. I liked the way things were directed and presented. The soundtracks were also syncing with the boxing scenes. ); Animation => 5/5 (The blitheness is astonishing, treat to the eyes. I don't know the upkeep. I near feel like this is 'Unlimited Budget Works'); Screenplay => 3/5 (The screenplay was not very deep. The character buildup in many cases were not upward to the mark so the dialogues got bland in some cases.); Personal Recommendation => 4/5 (I would highly recommend watching this for the animation and the plot. Also picket Fate/Zippo.); Most Favorite Graphic symbol => Rin Tohsaka (Near mature, considerate and badass character here);

I of the greatest things to exist blessed upon humanity.

Many people watch this testify for the fight scenes. And while information technology has some of the coolest and all-time animated fights ever, I cant help but experience these guys are really missing out. The master theme in Fate/stay night is "conquering oneself". There are three alternate versions of fate stay night. The first one Fate, is the "oneself as an platonic". The second one Unlimited Blade Works, is "struggling with oneself as an ideal". The third one Sky'due south Feel, is "the friction with real and ideal".

Kinoko Nasu (the author of fate/stay Night) is SO Expert at interpreting human feel in a story. Sometimes to the bespeak that it gets difficult to keep track of everything. Cough*Garden Of Sinners*Cough.

Anyway my point is the characters (expecaily their morals and motivations) are the best part of anything Kinoko Nasu makes. There is anyways much more depth in the characters than yous probably realize.

If you like this show then watch Fate/Zero correct away. Kiritsugu Emiya is by far my favorite character from anything. Only watch information technology.

A fresh new retell of the Fate serial from the 2006 serial

Warning: Spoilers

To respond your question no you lot don't need to watch the old studio dean series to empathize this as this is a brand new reboot completely. However, if you would similar you tin lookout it to compare it with this serial.

Just like the original serial 5 magians are choicen to fight in the holy grail in a boxing to the death to encounter who wins the grail and they all have master including Archer, Pulley, Gligamesh, Berserker, Passenger, Lancer and finally saber. Subsequently foreign occurances of a subconscious masters the beautiful thigh queen herself Rin Tosaka teams up with her classmate Shirou Emiya to search out this master.

As for my overall thought I really enjoyed this route of the Fate series. And I even better and then the studio dean verse equally I notice there was quite a few errors like their blitheness which I am thankful for.

The vocalization cast in the dub I will admit took some time getting used as a lot of these wait for Taiga, Rin, Lancer and Illya all had new voices. I recollect the merely vocalism I didn't similar all that much was Archer'southward but then again his previous voice actor was too mind bravado in that function.

Too, do check out Fate/Zero earlier diving into this series to get a better understanding of what previously happened.

Astonishing animation cannot redeem a poor story

I watched Fate/Zippo start and loved information technology, so naturally I was excited to watch this one as well. I was incredibly disappointed.

The story was dull-paced. The same one narrow theme is repeated and so frequently that y'all are near tempted to fast-forward through some of the dialogue because yous already know what they are going to say. The other Masters are given just a small amount of back-story, and then you don't forge whatsoever sort of emotional connectedness to them. Rin and Emiya (and their Servants) are the primary focus of the evidence. This is unfortunate for several reasons.

Emiya, is a dunce whose merely worth/uniqueness is his unyielding stubbornness. In any realistic situation, he would have been eliminated in the first few episodes, simply he seems to survive endless near- expiry experiences simply because he is a main character rather than any clever solutions or tricks (for example, he runs into multiple fights without the ability to actually fight, and another character saves him or the opponent decides it's "more fun" to wait to kill him). He apparently doesn't understand the simple concept that if he dies in a situation that he clearly cannot handle, he would be unable to save any more people. But his plot- armor is essentially space so... He also does non go through any graphic symbol evolution. He is the same person in the first of the show as he is in the end, but with more fighting power.

I don't accept much to say virtually Rin. I similar her personality, but she doesn't go whatever character development either.

The romance in this anime is too incredibly obvious and kittenish. There is no question or mystery to it. But combine all the middle schoolhouse clichés.

Fortunately, Archer is interesting. Just he is the only multidimensional graphic symbol. The motives of all the other characters are incredibly obvious. There are absolutely no surprises in this anime except for one twist.

Unlimited Budget Works Is What They Call This

With this budget you tin can expect amazing visuals combined with good soundtrack which generates some incredible activeness scenes!!! And that'due south where it stops, I wish the action was not stop because I would honestly pay money to salve myself from these characters. The characters are 2 dimensional at best, and the interactions are very tedious and banal coupled with actually flat dialog which is the 80% of the anime, which as a result leads to me trying non to fall asleep. Y'all have a Holy Grail War setting with magic and warriors and you center it around slow kids? Archer might exist only the just interesting graphic symbol.

Sentinel this for the incredible visuals and fight scenes, nothing more than.

Impaired, entertaining show

This show is the first anime I can telephone call a guilty pleasure. As many may know at this indicate, this evidence looks gorgeous, the action scenes specially are jiff-taking and the overall animation is elevation notch, the concept is... interesting, I judge. And, the about important thing about it (for me at least) is that it's entertaining as f*ck.

And it's not an small-scale affair, in that location's a lot of "bad" with this series, like the rules of the "game" that tin be bend by... anyone basically. Or the bland, stereotyped, admittedly imbecile characters that suit the protagonist and the main characters (Masters, mainly), and the-sometimes-predictable-plot of the overarching story. But the blitheness, action and charisma from a couple of Servants make the prove somewhat worth it.

Is not great, at all. But the way information technology is able to make itself watchable past having a keen look, OK music and a few really interesting characters is an achievement by itself. I tin can recommend information technology, just have fun.

An Interesting Show

Warning: Spoilers

Fate Stay/Night Unlimited Bract Works was the offset Fate I watched within the series and this pulled my attention towards the Fate franchise, I'm currently watching Fate Stay/Night Heavens Feel and this is intriguing me more. I watched unlimited blade works subbed then I watched it dubbed to see what kind of vocalisation'south they gave each character, I prefer the subbed.

I enjoyed the first flavour of UBW (Unlimited Blade Works), the character evolution for some characters will actually practiced better than some others. At the beginning, I similar the introduction to the main characters like Archer, Rin, Shirou and also the side-characters like Sakura, etc. During the middle of the season I continued to enjoy it. At the very end of the flavour, I liked the twist turn of events and the cliff-hanger was a nice touch considering I gave an interest to see what they did with season two

I besides enjoyed flavour 2, not as long as flavor 1 but enough content to keep me interested, like for example (spoilers), Archer being a futurity version of Shirou Emiya and how they played it off with the main antagonists, Gilgamesh and Kirei Kotomine. In the cease I actually liked the show and I can't wait for any more fate series.

Painful to watch

The plot is immensely stupid, the characters are all obnoxious and unlikeable, the protagonist seems to be some kind of masochist, while Rin suffers from a severe personality disorder. The concept of cooperation seems to be completely foreign in this universe, and thus there is much forced conflicted. All this gets rounded off past elaborate and tedious monologuing. Particularly towards the end, the prove gets tougher than any gum.

All I can requite the creators credit for are the vivid visuals and well choreographed fights. Merely otherwise information technology is painful to watch.

Limited Blade Works: People Die if They Are Killed!

The core concept of the Fate series is a boxing to the expiry amidst vii masters and their vii servants--who are superhuman representations of historical figures and heroes--for the chance of obtaining the holy grail and making a wish. Essentially, these serial are death games, only more elegant and well-made than the usual genre fare. FSN is a visual novel series with multiple arcs, and then ultimately, what y'all're getting with UBW is just a fraction of a complete work. That injects some weaknesses into UBW as a standalone series, though once all of the arcs are adapted fully, I suppose you could view them as ane complete piece of work.

But if we look at UBW as a unmarried work, it is undeniably flawed, relying on other arcs to fill in some of what isn't explored in this arc. For instance, Sakura appears to exist a very important character at the beginning, but she mostly disappears after the first few episodes. That's because she is a much more prominent character in an alternative arc: Heaven's Feel, which has been adapted into a three-part movie serial. Either way, how she is written out of the series seems very sloppy.

Fate/Zero, the prequel to FSN, is a more cohesive work, fully adapted without a bunch of pesky culling arcs, and it too has a much broader focus on the diverse masters and servants. UBW, on the other manus, focuses nigh completely on Rin Tohsaka, Shirou Emiya, Archer, and Saber--the latter two being the servants of the former ii, respectively.

Near of the other servants and masters have unclear motivations, illogical thought processes, or are besides undeveloped to really have whatever business organisation over. Ane character in particular, Kirei, who was a principal adversary in Zero, seems to accept been brushed bated far too quickly and rather pointlessly. Though I will say that the Pulley of this serial is a much improve villain than the Caster of Goose egg.

Having a narrow focus on a scattering of masters and servants has some advantages. Though nigh of what unfolds is predictable, at that place is a bit of suspense and tension every bit our mains attempt to figure out who the diverse servants and masters are, and at that place'southward plenty of deceit and plot twists along the fashion. This works pretty well for the first season and the final confrontation with Caster.

On the other hand, the show unfortunately focuses heavily on Shirou in the 2nd flavor. His magecraft starts off pathetically weak, but past the end, he is going toe-to-toe with the other servants! A large clamper of the narrative is centered around a philosophical fence between Shirou and Archer about the former's ideal of existence a "hero of justice." This same theme was confronted by Kiritsugu in Zero in a very painful fashion, bordering on psychological horror. Here, it's overplayed, corny, and embarrassing in its naivety. Archer is understandably disgusted by Shirou and his obnoxious idealism.

Archer has the nearly complexity of all the characters. Shirou is equally dull as your average shonen hero. Saber is... honestly, fairly tame here, and she doesn't have the same drive or clear focus every bit in Zero. Her motivations seem like an afterthought. Rin is fairly agreeable as a tsundere, though this type of grapheme plays heavily upon chemistry with other characters, and Shirou is but really bad.

In that location's quite a thick amount of plot armor and hackneyed writing. There are and then many opportunities where the characters should exist dead, but they're spared. At that place'due south a totally awful and casuistic deus ex machina involving Lancer, every bit well as another very stupid one in the climax. The epilogue is too a very wearisome way to sort out loose ends. Honestly, I've never been able to get a good grasp on Gen Urobuchi as a writer. He can be quite interesting, but he has a tendency to create overwrought and cliche-ridden stories. Frequently entertaining, simply a bit hollow. It's really difficult to believe this is the same writer behind the Lovecraftian trunk horror romance that is Saya no Uta, the magical girl deconstruction of Madoka Magica, or the more tightly written prequel series Fate/Zero.

The main reason to watch this series is for the cinematic production values. Many fans call this "Unlimited Upkeep Works" for a skillful reason. One could easily error this series for a picture show or short OVA series, because the visual quality is so loftier. Very detailed background art, fluid animation, and intense action sequences are featured. The camera work and framing is what you'd typically expect from Ufotable. The series also has an excellent ambiance that embodies the feel of derelict cityscapes at dusk, along with the occasional quiet, though ominous, forests and ruins.

There are many good things about this series, but the monotonous and sometimes poor writing (largely in the 2nd season) sends information technology careening off the rails.

Edit: The quote in the title is actually from the Studio Deen version of Fate/Stay Dark, which is supposed to be inferior to UBW, but I thought it made for a snazzier title. Absolutely, though people like to mock the quote and information technology sounds patently ridiculous in a Captain Obvious-mode, I can see that, in context, it actually makes sense for Shirou to say what he said. Basically, in the show, at that place'southward a decease, a revival, and when you die, you should stay dead. Makes sense. Information technology's just delivered a bit awkwardly, especially out of context.

Fashion better than i expected

This testify is compared to the big popular animes underrated. Forget near the couple reviews that mutter about the plot or the characters. The artstyle and the level of detail in all animations is by no incertitude simply magnificent, especially for its time. The fights are fast paced and with the camera menses from unlike angles and some ho-hum-mos visually summit notch.

The plot is very decent, much improved written than the original, which wasnt bad either. You can virtually never foreshadow whats coming next. Due to the core of the story beeing a competion between 7 magicians and their (unremarkably) on the forepart fighting servants over some holy grail, it is not clear who the bad guys are. Despite having some unlikable characters with clear bad intentions they can all be distinguished in what their motivation of winning the grail is (some dont intendance about it, some have however to notice out or change their heed, some primary and servant agree with each other, some dont).

The character build up is fantastic, from having mode better introductions than in the original with improved writing and dialogue. Its not the stereotypical anime with the chief characters beeing the strongest and winning every fight, they peculiarly at the offset get their ass beaten up quite oft, even though y'all know that at that place is yet more to come from them. Some characters do surprise you in terms of what their abilities are, with ,what i liked the most, early subtle hints that they might exist more unsafe than their appearance suggests, what adds to the writing level.

Yous definitely will accept a peachy time watching this anime and probably the whole serial, if y'all similar.

People Need to Realize that this Is Function ii of a three Part Franchise.

Alarm: Spoilers

Visual Novel Rating: 8.one

Anime Rating: vii.9

The Visual Novel was Solid. The Unlimited Blade Works route carried improvements over the fate route similar fewer flashbacks and faster pacing. It also had more than action than the kickoff route and a serious twist I never saw coming. However, it also had narrative flaws that the first route didn't have. UBW had plot conveniences for Shirou near the end Instance: Archer projecting rho aias simply as Shirou is about to be striking by Ea when archer was supposed to be dead (something non explained in the VN they didn't tell us he turned into spirit form later fighting Gilgamesh and fed on spirits in the Einzbern Forrest to survive). And of course Shirou always seeming to survive with the power of willpower but being able to fight because saber'south sheath is within him. Shirou's character dev was tiny in this, and Rin isn't a multilayered character like Saber simply despite this, it'south an improvement over the first road.

The anime though made adept and bad changes. The good consisted of things like adding a backstory to Medea'due south master, showing more Illya backstory, clarifying Kuzuki'south backstory, etc. The bad: removing Shirou's monologues which made him look even more stubborn now without reason. Adding plotholes, the biggest one that comes to heed is: archer summoning UBW in his fight with Shirou when he isn't supposed to have the mana bachelor to do this. And removing explanations Ex: the random high jump scene in S2 ep ten that was not explained in the anime, (it was the starting time time Rin took notice of Shirou and admired him). The anime also made rin too "tsunderey". Like whatever adaptation, they sped-run certain aspects but it was largely one-1. People's complaints virtually this are semi-valid because of how it was adapted but many don't understand that UBW is one part of a 3 part franchise. Everything and everybody won't be explained in one route. It is complementary to the other routes.

Another terrible sequel.

A terrible follow up from what was a decent first season. The dialogue betwixt characters was jarring with many eye rolling moments. The plot lacks any depth and most of the characters brand completely irrational decisions. The characters likewise lack any type of historical connection unlike what the first season presented (outside of the occasional mention) and none of their goals are known. Sabre, the only heroic spirit from the kickoff flavor to play much of a part in this flavor, lacks the tenacity which she previously possessed and is now a submissive 'seen but non heard' character. One of the about disappointing aspects of this season was that there was no conclusion, the last episode simply sets upwards the adjacent flavor. This feels similar the producers had also much money, and no enough time/decent script. Don't waste your fourth dimension on this, it simply isn't worth it.

A Visual Masterpiece

Warning: Spoilers

I absolutely hated fate/zero because of the slow pace and tragic ending. there were very few likable characters in it. But this sequel Is merely awesome!! cute visuals and an amazing soundtrack with a amend story than Fate/Zippo. The characterization of all the servants was awesome. Archer and Lancer. were badass. I liked Saber in this than in Fate /Zero. Caster was sly but awesome. berserker was also expert. The Art, the Blitheness,Sound were beyond expectations. This anime has set a loftier-bar for other fighting anime. If you loved "Attack On Titan" and "Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood" then i advise y'all check this out.."Trace On"

STAY Nighttime FOR THIS

A good story effectually holy grail in state of war.

With a deep bulletin about our selfish world.

With deep pregnant dialogues.

Best animation I've ever seen.

Best effects and clean fighting scenes.

The just thing I disliked was unnecessary face offs and slow paced screen play elsewhere everything was adept.

A flawed show merely one I nonetheless enjoyed

Warning: Spoilers

I liked this testify well plenty merely god did it take a lot of issues, pacing was awfully slow, it's magic system didn't want to explicate itself much if at all, information technology felt similar it ended 5 different times, speaking on endings why did information technology feel similar every fight was cut curt and never once got focused on properly. The just one that felt acknowledged was the first Unlimited Bract Works fight. And that was generally ruined by the last minute convenience and the dialogue, I swear if I have to head 'hero of justice' one more than time imma flip, there MUST have been a better mode to phrase that which doesn't audio so stupid. Fifty-fifty if it is a translation thing they should have rewritten the sentence. But my biggest issue was with what I call 'The Gotham problem'; when people are constantly existence betrayed, making alliances and surviving when they should just be killed(I can't count the amount of times this happens in this show), it destroys all tension and only makes the show experience cheap.

I likewise was not a fan of the final climax as I retrieve a more than personal story than 'I want to end the world considering people suck' would take been a nicer end, I only experience like Keeping pulley equally a sympathetic bbeg with a fair motivation but deadly methods or moving the First Unlimited Bract Works fight to the stop would have been a more satisfying decision.

Despite all this I did have a proficient fourth dimension with this show, the MAIN twist was super interesting and well fix, the fights(when they actually focused on them) were pretty cool, The characters were pretty well realised and overall the show was quite pretty. I would say it'south worth a sentry as a casual affair.

fate/stay night:unlimited blade works is better than you call back information technology is

Warning: Spoilers

Fate/stay nighttime: unlimited blade works follows the events of fate/zero, after 10 years, when Emiya Kirgitsugu saves ane person; and that person is Emiya shirou. Nevertheless, this series revolves effectually archer, presumably after flavor i. That is. Nosotros get to see who archer really is, with him being Emiya shirou, from an alternating universe; in the future. Honestly, this part is pretty interesting. Blitheness is expert as usual, plot is decent/proficient, fighting scenes are good and the soundtracks are good. Actually good serial overall. You'll relish it. Highly recommend that yous effort it.
